دکتر مهرشاد زین العابدینی در سال 1386 پس از دریافت مدرک دکتری از دانشگاه تبریز همکاری خود را با پژوهشگاه بیوتکنولوژی کشاورزی آغاز کرد. زمینه های تحقیقاتی ایشان ژنومیکس تکاملی، QTL، ژنتیک جمعیت و بیوانفورماتیک می باشد.

بازدید وابسته همکاری های علمی و تکنیکی سفارت فرانسه ماهی در تنوع سبد غذایی خانوار ایرانی دارای نقش مهمی است. ایران با تولید سالیانه 140 هزار تن رتبه اول تولید قزل آلای آب شیرین و نیز رتبه 20 جهان را در تولید آبزی پروری کل داراست.

ایران از نظر سطح کشت تجاری، مرغوبیت ارقام و با تولید سالانه 900 هزار تن انار رتبه اول تولید انار را به خود اختصاص داده است.
